Announcing DOTBrno
One-day conference in Czech Republic, Brno on 10.11.2022 happening as a side event to ETHBrno hackathon.
DOTBrno has arrived! Join us for a one-day event with major speakers from the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystem. We will be inviting a multitude of Polkadot parachain teams to talk about their projects, Polkadot’s vision and to educate the wider public about this wonderful ecosystem. This ETHBrno’s side-event will start the show and you as an attender will have plenty of networking possibilities.
This event will take place in Brno, the city on the crossroad with major urban areas like Prague, Vienna or Bratislava. Brno is one of the biggest IT hubs in Central Europe and thus makes it a great place to attract IT geeks, students and technology enthusiasts to blockchain technology. The city is also well-known for its vibrant nightlife so there are plenty of opportunities to get a feel of the city vibe before ETHBrno starts.

Where?
The venue will be held in Industra, which is an amazing space with coffee in the heart of “Nová Zbrojovka”, the former industrial zone. You will enjoy the spectacular genius loci of this place, one of the places in Brno where the old changes into the new in a very decent way.

What to expect
There will be 5 talks from various speakers, all related to Polkadot and Kusama, each for 20 min. Speakers and their topics will be revealed soon and if there’ll be high demand for tickets, we might extend the agenda.
At the end, we will host a panel discussion with the most interesting speakers of the Polkadot community.
How to stay on track
There are several possibilities on how to stay updated until the event starts. We have 3 communication channels and you won’t miss any info if you just follow one of them, but we generally recommend to come and chat on telegram :)
Tickets
You might be asking, how much is it going to cost? Since this event will most likely be sponsored by Polkadot treasury events team and it is community led, the commission will be free. However, the space is limited to +- 150 people, so make sure to grab your ticket in time.

ETHBrno² - the contrast
Some team members from DOTBrno helped to create the first year of ETHBrno, which was a huge success. This time around, the attendants and audience will be international, so we are heading into different goals than last year. While cryptocurrencies and freedom are needed more than ever, the topic fo ETHBrno² event will be privacy and security and you’ll have a chance to hack aswell. The venue of ETHBrno2 will be Impact Hub Brno, which will be the main basecamp for the hackathon.
